Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
A strong Pacific frontal system has moved onto BC central coast bringing strong winds and heavy rain to North Vancouver Island. Strong southeast winds will rise to 70 km/h except 90 gusting to 110 over exposed area early this afternoon as the front intensifies. The strong winds will weaken somewhat this evening but are expected to stay near 70 to 90 km/h through Tuesday morning.
Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
