More snow tonight.
A weather system sliding down the BC coast will bring mixed precipitation to the South Coast tonight. A mix of rain and snow will change to snow later tonight, especially over the southern suburbs. The snow will taper off on Sunday morning as the system moves to the south and out of the area.
Over Greater Victoria and the Southern Gulf Islands, a trace to 2 cm of snow is forecast with 5 cm over higher terrain including the Malahat.
Over the Sunshine Coast, up to 4 cm of snow is forecast for tonight.
Over Metro Vancouver, a trace to 5 cm of snow is expected with higher amounts mainly over the southern suburbs.
Another system coming from the north will move onto the BC South Coast on Tuesday which will bring the potential for some more snow. Beginning Wednesday, a series of Pacific weather systems will start arriving on the BC South Coast from the west bringing milder air and rain.
