Snowfall Warning

Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

Heavy snow expected tonight.

An approaching Pacific frontal system will move across the BC southern interior this evening.

Over Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass, light snow today will become heavy at times this evening. Heavy snow will continue through early Thursday morning before tapering off to a few flurries.

Total snowfall accumulation of 10 to 20 cm can be expected by Thursday morning.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
