Special Weather Statement

Issued at 11:47 Wednesday 17 August 2022

Several weather fronts moving across the Brooks Range will bring
rising water levels to rivers and streams. Rainfall totals from
0.75 to 1.50 inches are possible through Friday. Some isolated
locations could see higher amounts. At this time, water levels are
expected to remain within bank and below flood stage. Those
taking part in outdoor activities along rivers and streams
draining the northeast Brooks Range are encouraged to monitor
water levels since some exposed gravel bars could become inundated
due to runoff from the rainfall.
