A low pressure system developing in Montana will track northeastward and lie over west central Manitoba by this evening. An area of rain and embedded thunderstorms will develop along and just to the northwest of the track of the low through the day today into this evening. The heaviest rainfall will be over east central Saskatchewan where rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are expected with local amounts of 40 to 50 mm possible with thundershowers by Sunday morning. With the recent significant precipitation in east central Saskatchewan, any rainfall will lead to heightened concerns for flooding.
