A period with maximum daily temperatures near 29C or above, and overnight low temperatures near 14C or above, continues across central Saskatchewan. Heat is expected to abate somewhat on Saturday with the arrival of a cold frontal passage.
Environment and Climate Change Canada has implemented new heat warning criteria for the summer of 2017. These new heat warning criteria can be viewed for locations across Canada on ECCC's website:
