At 10:05 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to toonie size hail and heavy rain.
Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and torrential rain.
Severe thunderstorms that developed late in the afternoon in Alberta are now approaching the Saskatchewan border and are expected to continue moving eastward through this evening into the overnight hours. These thunderstorms have produced large hail in Alberta and will pose a hail and wind threat as they move through the province.
Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
