A period with maximum daily temperatures near or exceeding 32C, and minimum overnight lows near or exceeding 16C will begin on Thursday. Heat is expected to diminish on Saturday associated with a cold frontal passage.
Regions to the north, and west, will experience slightly cooler daily highs and/or overnight lows.
Watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.
