Extreme Cold WarningIssued at 21:48 Monday 21 January 2019
A combination of temperatures near minus 25 and light winds will result in wind chills near minus 35 tonight.
The bitterly cold arctic air mass will be replaced by a milder air mass on Tuesday.
Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
