
PHOTOS: Dangerous squalls create havoc with whiteouts on Ontario roads
Significant snow, strong winds, and blowing snow are expected.
Total snowfall: 15 to 25 cm (heaviest over higher terrain).
Maximum wind gusts: southeasterly 80 to 100 km/h.
Locations: Connaigre, Burin, and southern Avalon Peninsulas.
Time span: overnight tonight until midday Tuesday.
Remarks: The snow and blowing snow are expected to change to a brief period of rain late Tuesday morning before changing back to flurries in the afternoon.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
