Severe Thunderstorm WarningIssued at 03:46 Monday 03 August 2020
At 3:46 a.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
This line of severe thunderstorms is located from south of Keg River to southwest of Lesser Slave Lake and is moving to the northeast at 60 km/h. A strong gust front is moving to the east ahead of this line where severe winds are also possible.
Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles.
Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Thunderstorms have the potential to produce severe weather tonight.
Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops.
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
