Extreme Cold Warning

Issued at 15:51 Tuesday 06 December 2022

Extremely cold wind chill values between minus 40 and minus 45 will moderate by Wednesday morning.

Northern parts of the province may see wind chill values near minus 40 again Wednesday night.

Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.

Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
