Astronaut catches video of lightning storm from space

    Here's something you probably haven't seen before. This is what a lightning storm looks like from space! 

    American astronaut Reid Wiseman took this video from aboard the International Space Station. 

    This lightning-filled storm took place over Houston. 

    Things to note:

    • There are over 1.4 billion lightning flashes worldwide every year 

    • There are 100 strikes per second around the world, everyday
