...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers inLouisiana...Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting West Feliciana,Pointe Coupee and East Baton Rouge Parishes.For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing.* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.* IMPACTS...At 48.0 feet, Access roads will be inundated andevacuation of all river islands must be complete. Protection ofpeople and property in the river bottom land on the river side ofthe levees must be complete.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 9:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 48.2 feet.- Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 9:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 48.2 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stageFriday evening and continue falling to 39.5 feet Wednesday,May 22.- Flood stage is 48.0 feet.- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of48.2 feet on 05/01/1906.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
