Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deathsoccur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,even a small one, on foot. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers andlocations in Indiana...Illinois...White River from Edwardsport southward to Hazleton.Wabash River from Lafayette southward to Mount Carmel..Main stems rivers in central and southern Indiana continue to workat emptying last week's copious rainfall. Flooding continues on theWabash River from Lafayette to Mount Carmel, and on the White Riversouth of Newberry. Flooding ended at Elliston and Newberry on theWhite River earlier today. Flooding will last as long as mid weeknext week.* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Wabash River at Mount Carmel.* WHEN...Until Thursday, April 25.* IMPACTS...At 22.9 feet, Water begins to flow over River Road justnorth of Fifth Street in the Mount Carmel area.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 9:00 PM EDT Thursday /8:00 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was21.5 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 9:00 PM EDT Thursday /8:00 PM CDT Thursday/ was21.5 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.5feet Sunday morning.
