Suzanne Leonard
Suzanne's warm and intelligent presentation has been a mainstay of the Weather Network's broadcast schedule since 1998. She has hosted numerous live specials, and since 2003 has hosted the national weekday afternoon program. Suzanne is fascinated by the weather, passionate about lifelong learning, and feels it's both a privilege and a responsibility to share what she knows with viewers every day.
Suzanne has traveled extensively, and frequently incorporates that knowledge into her presentation. One of her most memorable weather moments includes her abrupt introduction to Canadian weather. An October blizzard swooped down on Montreal, leaving 10-year-old Suzanne and her 6-year-old sister to battle their way home on foot from school!
Suzanne holds a bachelor degree in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University. She has an extensive broadcast career which includes 10 years with TVOntario's Gemini award-winning current affairs and children's programs. She has taught television production at Sheridan College. She is also a volunteer teacher of English as a second language.
An outdoor person at heart, Suzanne thrives on camping, canoeing and hiking. She keeps fit with jogging, yoga, and working in her garden.
