Kim MacDonald is a familiar face to anyone who watches The Weather Network. Her warm personality and trusted delivery make her a favourite with viewers. In fact, she is a three time silver winner of the Toronto Sun Readers’ Choice Award for Favourite Weather Personality.
Kim joined The Weather Network in 1998 after starting her career in radio working as a news broadcaster and morning show co-host in both rock radio and talk radio.
A proud native of the Niagara region, Kim attended Brock University earning her Arts Degree in Culture and Language Communications. From there she attended Niagara College to fine tune her radio and television skills.
While attending University and College, Kim spent many hours volunteering her time at her local Cable station hosting and reporting.
Kim and her husband live in Hamilton and have two daughters.
Kim can be seen on The Weather Network Monday-Wednesday nights and Weekend afternoons. She’s also delighted to provide weather for CBC National News in a new collaboration between the networks.
What does Kim love about the weather?
