The Weather Network's popular commuter reporter is no stranger to traffic jams as Tom spent 19 years with the Toronto Transit Authority as their media communications and traffic commuter expert. Like many of his colleagues, Tom received his formal on-air training at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and ever since, he has become a well-known voice and face on radio and television stations in the Toronto market. On The Weather Network, Tom has 180 traffic cameras at his disposal -- the most extensive network in Southern Ontario -- to provide viewers with the latest conditions for their daily commute.


Karen JohnsonKaren Johnson

CMOSKaren, a Toronto native, has extensive experience in the television world as a Producer, Host, Writer, Reporter, and Weather Anchor. She first put herself in the spotlight in 1990 by becoming Miss Toronto, and from there, the spotlight followed her. Her first job was at CFMT (Omni 1) as a reporter covering a broad range of issues both domestic and international. Recently, Karen experienced what a cold prairie winter day is all about when she worked at the A-Channel in Edmonton as a Weather Anchor and news writer. Now, she looks forward to delivering the weather story to a national audience as the spotlight continues to bring out her vibrant personality.
