Wild Turkey of a different Colour

873 views Calvin Hanson December 18, 2014 Ingleside, ON Date shot: April 8, 2011

A whitish-coloured Wild Turkey hen was an unusual sight in a flock of 60 wild turkeys. Apparently this colour of wild turkey is called “smoke-phase.” This is a colour photograph of the actual bird, not black and white, and it shows the lack of pigmentation of the head, legs and feet.
