I got to the Nonquon/Port Perry lagoons at Trumpeter Swan feeding time this morning. The cygnets were quite active as it was working up to bath lessons from MOM. Two of them were facing into the slight breeze that was blowing over the pond. They both reacted to it by flapping their wings. A big start towards the upcoming wing strengthening as the wings get bigger and the fall winds increase. Note the wingspan on the left hand cygnet and the neat folding in the other. No. 3 soon??
