This Red-winged Blackbird let me get quite close to it and surprisingly never even sounded the alarm, instead it just kept singing away as if it didn't have a care in the world. That was not the normal reaction I, and many others get when checking out the wetlands for waterfowl or critters. I've been trying to get some shots of an elusive Great Blue Heron and whenever I get close one or more Red-winged Blackbirds will sound their alarm and off it flies, every time!! Grrr!
