The beautiful shore birds are making their way back thanks to a Sauble Beach volunteer. There were fewer than 66 nesting pair in all of the Great Lakes region. On August 31st, 28 birds were happily running along a deserted portion of Sauble Beach. Photos were discreetly taken from a well-positioned piece of driftwood so as not to disturb their peace.
