One of five Trumpeter Swan cygnets I found Monday with their parents enjoying the morning sun in the Nonquon Lagoons in Port Perry. These birds were extinct in parts of Ontario in the 1800's. A very successful reintroduction program has them retaking their home and native land. Not too many people have seen these cute little swans at this age. This is the second family I have found in the area in the past weeks. The other had six cygnets.
