I visited the swans early this morning to see if changing locations yesterday had changed their behaviour. The sun was just beginning to shine on the beach. It was only 10 Celcius and a breeze was blowing. Usually Mom would take them under her wing on a cold night. Either they are now too big or she figured it was time for them to rely on themselves. They were still huddled together on the beach when I left. Late breakfast 4 sure. The parents were not prodding them. Only watching them grow up .
