Gulls flying with the snow.

827 views Jim Middleton November 20, 2014 North Bay, ON Date shot: November 19, 2014

While visiting some Mallard Ducks, and one American Black Duck, something stirred the Gulls (VIDEO uploaded - I hope) out on the edge of the ice pack and they suddenly took off. They shot straight up, squawking the whole time, and then calmly floated back down to the ice pack to hunker down and keep as warm as possible. There are more this year than last year with very similar weather (unfortunately!!) and instead of all Ring-billed Gulls we have Herring and Great Black-backed Gulls too!
