FRIENDS AT MY FEEDER

510 views CATHERINE CUMMINS February 7, 2016 Grandview Beach Drive, Shuniah, ON Date shot: February 5, 2016

Each day begins with a trip outdoors to fill the feeder scoured clean overnight by the tongues of the deer. Even before the sun peeps over the horizon, a hundred or more common redpolls flock to the trees surrounding our patio to wait for their breakfast. They gather around my feet like barnyard fowl squabbling over the first grains of sunflower chop.
