I'd heard the family of Merlins from a distance and when I got to their normal hunting area I was stumped as they weren't perched in their normal trees or on any roofs. I walked along the street when one of them let out a screech that just about did me in, lol. It was above me on a streetlight, illuminated by the setting sun. I took a few shots (& VIDEO uploaded) from a tough angle so as not to scare it, and while it seemed unconcerned the look near the end of the video says it all.
