This happy looking Mallard couple are resting on one of many Lake Nipissing beaches away from the crowds. They have both been preening for the last while and look a lot healthier than in the early spring. In fact they seem to have packed on some weight lately as some emerging insects from the lake have been very plentiful over the last week or so.
