At around 2pm Newfoundland Time on the 20th of October in Gander, it started raining quite suddenly but only briefly. By about 2:20pm, the darkest clouds had moved off to the northeast, leaving an opening for some sunlight while the ground was still wet enough to be very reflective to sunlight, like in this parking lot next to Roe Avenue.
