this Barred owl appeared on Nov 26 and stayed in the pine trees for a full day. This owl let me get fairly close for the photos. It was not upset when I did the photos. I do have to admit that I lost the staring contest. I'm sure it was waiting for a squirrel or mole to appear, and it would have made a very quick meal out of the rodent.
