Many hives struggled in the summer months and were weak. Then they didn't survive our particularly harsh winter. Most beekeepers lost hives, myself included. The surviving hives are building up and we hope this summer they will do well.I feed the bees honey in spring and you can see them lined up in rows to lick it up.
