Gannets at Isle Bonaventure

735 views Brian Campbell July 28, 2014 Gaspé, QC Date shot: June 27, 2014

Near the great Pierce Rock in Quebec is Isle Bonaventure, one of the largest bird sanctuaries in the world. You can take a ferry there, and take a walk across the island to the cliffs facing the Gulf of St. Lawrence where hundreds of thousands of gannets nest. Quite a sight! (And a deafening racket their cries make.)
