This cool customer, a hungry Black Squirrel, decided to have an early morning snack on some frozen crabapples (short VIDEO uploaded) after suffering through a record breaking cold night hitting -21 C at 6:00 a.m. It had just finished grabbing a few sunflower seeds and peanut halves the Chickadees had 'tried' to hide in the bark and crevices of a nearby Maple Tree. I don't think the Chickadees had the Squirrel in mind when they hid them!
