This bird has some very nice colours to it. In the air it's looks more like the Red Barron with a Green head. The body's outside moves from blue to purple depending on the light. Under the wings there are bright red feathers it hides while up in the trees looking for food or just hiding out. Hard to spot sometimes in the Bloedel Conservatory. If you love birds this is a pretty good gold mine for them. Every year in the spring we spend hours here on the birds and then the up and coming flowers.
