These deer have been in this area for years. Quite a few years ago, it was nothing to see : probably herds of 50 or more in early spring. Numbers in that area are deminishing. Most I have seen in one herd was 30 , and that was approx. 20 yrs ago. Still nice to see I usually whistle to get them up, and in most cases, one deer gets up first and waves the flag ( White Tail ) as if saying : OK guys ,lets go !!. ,then the remainder trot off with the white tail flashing.
