Ant Life Cycle!

I left a bag of much on my front yard sidewalk for 3 week (yes I have been procrastinating with my garden work and went gallivanting to take pictures) . Today when I move the bag I saw this picture. Within 10 minutes those little workers moved all egg/larva/pupa under a post nearby. The workers were covering the queen to protect her. Just amazing to watch them behave. Did you know queens can live over 15 years , and some workers can for up to 7 years.
