The Evening Storm

750 views Bart Skala August 2, 2013 Port Credit, Ontario Canada Date shot: July 31, 2013

At the Port Credit Yacht Club, Steerers Regatta was being held for dinghy sailing. Winds gusted up to 40 knots and waves were up to 6 feet... water only 6 celsius. So the commitee brought the kids in because unfortunately, masts were snapping sails were breaking and boats were cracking. My sail ripped off but was fixable. They also called us in because of a tornado watch and thats when everyone got excited. So the storm started with a big downburst snapping trees and boat masts flagpoles and tents and thats when the beautiful lightning struck! Thank God no tornadoes happend but ill tell you that was one HECK OF A STORM!!!
