A hole opened up in the ground in southern Kentucky Wednesday, swallowing up eight Corvettes.
It happened at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green.
The museum's executive director says the sinkhole appeared before dawn under the skydome section of the site. The hole is about 12 metres wide and about nine metres deep.

The executive director says six of the cars were donated to the museum. For now, it's unclear what the value of the damaged cars is, but the executive director called it "substantial." A structural engineer was called to the scene to assess the situation.
