Tuesday, March 17, 2015, 4:19 PM - A Massachusetts woman called the police this month over an apparent burglar that had broken shattered her window. Upon further investigation, it was revealed the 'burglar' was actually just a chunk of ice.

When Allie Goldstein, 26, returned home from work on March 4, she found the window screen in her bathroom had been ripped and the bottom pane shattered.

“The tiles beneath the window had popped off, and the windowsill had a massive crack running through it … Broken glass, tiles and paint chips were scattered all over the floor," she told the Huffington Post.

When she started cleaning up she noticed one side of the screen had been ripped at a near-perfect 90 degree angle, leading her to believe it had been cut by someone.

She called the police, who arrived at the scene quickly.

While at her house an officer noticed a huge chunk of ice outside her home beneath the broken window.

It had likely fallen from the roof, breaking apart as it descended.

Goldstein and her roommates are relieved there was no burglar -- and they're thankful nobody was in the bathroom at the time of the incident.
