Tornado spotted in Saint-Marc-des-Carrières (Isabelle Mainguy)
The same storms that brought severe weather to Ontario Wednesday continued to push into Quebec.
According to Environment Canada, there was an EF-0 reported in Saint-Marc-des-Carrières at around 6:20 pm.
That's the weakest rating for a tornado on the Enhanced Fujita scale, and no damage has been reported.
This was the second tornado in Quebec this season.
The first, another EF-0, occurred on June 1 in Saint-Hugues, in Monteregie.
There were several reports of small hail in parts of southern Quebec with downed trees and broken limbs in the Montreal area.
Heavy rain was also recorded, helping to fight against the raging forest fires in the north.
Up to 70 mm of rain fell in the Chibougamau regions with closer to 45 mm in La Grande Riviere.
