Severe storms hit Minnesota over the weekend and Reddit user ziegler2000 was there to document it.

According to his YouTube page, he attached a GoPro camera to the hood of his car when the storms fired up and drove alongside the strikes.

"I captured this video of a lightning storm near Motley, Minnesota on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 starting at 5:45 a.m.," he writes.

Intense storms were spotted on both sides of the border this past weekend.

Canada's east coast reported widespread power outages and pounding surf as Arthur made its way through the region. Meanwhile, several tornadoes and funnel clouds were reported on the Prairies Saturday. Thankfully, there were no deaths associated with the two storms.
