Viral video of Quebec car leaping over snowbank lands driver $1,293 fine

Friday, March 27, 2015, 2:57 PM - Not exactly the landing this driver wanted, but a viral video taken in Gatineau, Que., of a car leaping off a snow bank did land the daredevil a $1,293 fine and four demerit points.
The video was uploaded to YouTube March 3, 2015, where it quickly garnered thousands of views. According to Facebook, the stunt took place on McLaurin Bay.
Now, police have tracked down the 21-year-old driver who used a snowbank as a ramp to launch his vehicle into the air, landing a few meters away.
The Gatineau driver, who has not been identified, was given four demerit points and a ticket for "committing an act likely to endanger the safety of persons or property," according to canoe.ca.
The driver has not been identified.
