VIDEO: Century-old bridge implodes

A section of a 100 year-old bridge crossing the Tennessee River in Kentucky was imploded Tuesday morning in front of a huge crowd of spectators.
The 121 metre portion of the bridge came crashing down in spectacular fashion, as seen in the video below.
Seismographs were used to document the process and track any structural damage or land movement resulting from the implosion.
The bridge was opened in 1913 and closed off last year.
