As Raymond continues to barrel towards Mexico's southern Pacific coast, Tropical Storm Lorenzo has started to pick up steam in the Atlantic basin.

Sustained winds have been clocked at 65 km/h. The storm is expected to strengthen a bit in the next day or so, according to a public advisory issued by the National Weather Center.

No coastal watches or warnings are in effect. Lorenzo is not expected to make landfall.

"Lorenzo is only expected to affect shipping lines in the Atlantic," says Brian Dillon, a meteorologist at The Weather Network.

"The storm will stay out at sea and die down Tuesday afternoon."
