Police were at the scene shortly after the crash. The truck, which was travelling northbound on the DVP, crashed into a median near Don Mills Road.

According to the Toronto Star, the truck was carrying dry cement, which was thrust into southbound lanes.

The driver, a man in his 40s, had to be extracted from the vehicle and was reported to be in life-threatening condition.

He has been taken to a nearby hospital.

Police are investigating.
