TIME LAPSE: Rare cloud inversion hits Grand Canyon

Thursday, January 29, 2015, 11:01 AM - Visitors at the Grand Canyon in Arizona witnessed a spectacular event on Wednesday: the enormous valley completely filled up with fog.
The meteorological phenomenon is known as a cloud inversion.
This is the second time in six weeks Arizona's famous natural landmark has been enveloped in fog, according to the Grand Canyon National Park's Facebook page.

The action in this one minute video would take 30 minutes in real time, according to the National Park Service.
The last time clouds took over one of the natural wonders of the world was last December.
