Think spring, think volatile season

When you think of spring, most people think of daffodils, green grass and trees blossoming. Famous poets like Robert Frost and even William Shakespeare have romanticized the season with blossoming love, and birds, and new beginnings.
But these ideas may have skewed our thoughts on the season.
The TRUTH about spring
"Spring is definitely a season of growth. When we see the birds coming out, animals coming out of hibernation, flowers growing. But we have this false sense that it occurs at the beginning of March," says Weather Network meteorologist Dayna Vettese. "In reality, like we're getting this year, it occurs more in April and May. Spring is a very volatile season. Much like fall. What we're getting is the summer and the winter fighting over turf. And so far in spring in Canada, winter's been winning this war. Spring will definitely get here, it's just going to be a lot later than what we've been used to in the past several years."
