Strange lights spotted flashing over California

Friday, May 1, 2015, 6:14 PM - The sky above San Diego, California was a hot topic Tuesday after a series of strange lights were spotted flashing in the sky.
One resident told NBC San Diego the light looked like a strobe with red, blue and green lights.
The news agency says it received photos of the incident from viewer Larry Fox, as well as several reports from other residents.
Witnesses don't think the lights were from a plane or a drone as they appeared to be stationary in the sky.

There's been no official statement on the origin of the lights but the phenomenon has sparked an intense conversation online.
Last July, Toronto's night sky made headlines when a series of colourful lights were spotted over the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue area.
Toronto police were inundated with calls about the mysterious UFO and confirmed receiving calls about the blinking pink, green and white lights, which were spotted hovering in a diagonal line formation.
