Social media is playing a big role in bringing families together after the recent ferry disaster in South Korea.

A six-year old girl was rescued from the sinking vessel but she was all alone when she was found.

Police sent out a tweet for her relatives to come forward.

A cousin of the girl eventually saw the tweet and replied.

Not long after, police sent out an update saying the girl had been reunited with her family.
