Multi-day severe weather outbreak in the U.S.

Wednesday, April 27, 2016, 8:10 PM - The low pressure system that brought the severe storms across the central and southern plains on Tuesday will continue its northeast push through the central plains into the Upper Midwest and its associated cold front will extend through the Upper Midwest down through Arkansas, southeast Oklahoma, and eastern Texas.
Thunderstorms will continue across parts of the southeast and Upper Midwest this afternoon with another round of isolated thunderstorms expected to redevelop mid to late this afternoon across Nebraska, Iowa, northern Missouri which will then spread into southern Illinois and then a few isolated storms across eastern Arkansas and through the Tennessee and Mississippi River Valleys.

Across the severe risk area will be the potential for strong winds, heavy rain, and large hail. There will be the risk for a few isolated tornadoes across the severe risk area as well with the highest potential across southeastern Nebraska, Iowa, and northeastern Missouri.
The low pressure system from Friday will continue to push north northeastward into the central plains Saturday. The cold front associated with the low will extend from the center of the low across western Missouri, through Arkansas, and across southeast Texas. Storms are expected to develop along and ahead of the cold front through the afternoon and work their way eastward across the Upper Midwest and then down through the Tennessee and Mississippi River Valleys. There will be the potential for severe storms across the risk as well.
